Håkan currently works as Head of Sustainability Innovation, within the IKEA Group. Håkan is aiming to establishing an innovation culture within IKEA and setting up innovation projects across IKEA units, with the aim of introducing new technologies, new innovative solutions and creating new business opportunities.

Håkan joined IKEA close to 20 years ago, and has worked as Global Quality & Environmental Manager for IKEA Purchase, Global Quality & Environmental Manager for IKEA Supply chain operations, Global Business Compliance Manager IKEA Indirect Material & Services (IMS) and latest Global Category Manager Operations IMS. Håkan still acts as senior advisor to IMS. He has been on the advisory boards of IKEA purchase organisations in Greater China and South Asia. Håkan has a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and has written a book on quality management “ISO 9000 – The way to success”.
