Creative Business Cup 2017 has come to an end. Thank you to everyone who invested their time and knowledge in making this event a success.
We wish to thank everyone who participated and helped make Creative Business Cup 2017 a success. Startups, Jurors, Speakers, Investors, and Partners are an integral part of Creative Business Cup.
This year’s grand prize winner, CellRobot from China, impressed the judges with their DIY, open-ended robot assembly system. Close on their heels were second and third runners-up, Icelandic Genki Instruments and Bildits from Lebanon. Six startups in total won the Creative Business Solutions.
Creative Business Cup is more than a competition, it is an opportunity to learn from like-minded entrepreneurs and influencers. The speakers are an important part of our aim to inspire and foster startups and help them unleash their companies. This year’s speakers included NeuroLeadership expert, Scott Halford, who gave the lesson ‘how to understand and become friends with your brain’.
Growth is not as much adding on but rather letting go.
Scott Halford

Nadya Tolokonnikova inspired and reflected upon personal accounts about how obstacles in life are only blocking your way if you let them. Jeremy Bloom, CEO of Integrate and host of AdVenture Capitalist, strengthened this theme by reminding the listeners that the biggest fail in life is ‘not to try’. He reflected on how ‘failures’ in his life actually led to his success.
Highlights included the panel discussion on Women in Entrepreneurship, led by Buke Cuhadar, Huda Janahi, Elaine Gold, Pia Allerslev, Eva Riedel, and Erik Holst Jørgensen. They examined how societies could empower and enable women to become leaders of their own companies and in the business world. The focus of 2017 was also on the creative industries in Africa, MENA, and The Silk Road as Creative Business Cup continues to connect entrepreneurs throughout the global market.
