World famous brands such as Tivoli, noma, Bjarke Ingels, Copenhagen Fashion Week and Roskilde Festival all have their roots around Copenhagen. These brands confirm the diversity of creativity in Copenhagen, not only among established companies but also among start-ups. For the past 10 years the creative industries in Copenhagen have created more jobs than other industries.
The international Creative Business Cup finals are held in Copenhagen from 17 – 19 November 2014. As participant / attendee in the finals you will have the opportunity to visit some of the most creative brands in the world.
City of Copenhagen / Copenhagen Business Service is one of our main partners. During the international Creative Business Cup finals they will host a reception on Tuesday evening November 18 and welcome up to 300 international guests and creative start-ups from around the world at Copenhagen City Hall.
Copenhagen Business Service provides free business advisory support for start-ups and businesses located in Copenhagen. Together with the city’s businesses, Copenhagen Business Service is developing the plans, projects, and offers that will bring growth and jobs to Copenhagen – one of these partners is Creative Business Cup.
The partnership with City of Copenhagen and Copenhagen Business Service will among other things secure matches and business meeting between Danish companies and international start-ups and hereby create potential long-term business relations across countries. Several creative start-ups and companies from Copenhagen and Denmark will attend the international finals and join workshops, match-making events, the market place and the CBC Award Show.
Copenhagen is part of the Øresund Region, with a population of just below four million.
Tremendous population growth
According to new population forecasts, Copenhagen’s population will grow by 100,000 towards 2025, which means that there will be 637,000 Copenhageners by 2025. The strong population growth is the result of increasing birth rates and an increase in the number of families and young people moving to the City.
45,000 new homes to be built
The growth will promote public as well as private investments. The City of Copenhagen will require an estimated 45,000 new homes. Plans for such urban development are included in the City’s overall development plan.
