On 6 November 2018, Creative Business Cup hosted its Special China edition during the China International Import Expo (#CIIE2018), an event marked with grand fanfare and paparazzi. Graced by world leaders and government authorities from all over the world , CIIE 2018 was held to highlight the potential of the Chinese market, which is expected to import products and services valuing more than 10 trillion U.S. dollars.

Keeping this potential in mind alongside CBC’s conversationalist culture, our CEO, Rasmus Wiinstedt Tscherning was joined by participants from all over the world who presented their business concepts and ideas in front of a distinguished jury. After an intense day of pitching, the jurors selected BookMeBus  from Cambodia as the winner, with Denmark’s AM Breweries as the runner-up.

BookMeBus was established in 2015 and is the leading bus ticket booking systems in Cambodia. The company provides online booking for bus, van, and ferry tickets and private taxi across Cambodia and to Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos. BookMeBus has been featured on CNN, Forbes, Inc Magazine, VOA, Lonely Planet, Red Herrings, Tech in Asia, and many more. AM Breweries was founded in 2017 and is the first company producing sustainable and delicious cold drinks from coffee leaves.  The company won Creative Business Cup Denmark in 2017 and have received food innovation funds from Future Food Innovation Denmark to develop and test their first two prototypes. They have also been runners-up in the start-up category of the Danish Sustainability Award 360 degrees Award and have participated in the Food Agro Challenge where they emerged as 5th out of 1,000 start-ups from around the world.
